Veterans Park District is proud to announce it has been awarded a $2,500 Step Into Swim grant, supported by the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation. This grant is part of the Step Into Swim/Every Child a Swimmer initiative, which is dedicated to providing high-quality, multi-level learn-to-swim programs. The goal is to expand access to swim education for children—an essential step in helping prevent drowning and saving young lives.
Thanks to this funding, Veterans Park District was able to offer free swim lessons to participants in our Summer Fun Day Camp program. This initiative has made a meaningful impact in our community, giving children the opportunity to build life-saving skills and confidence in the water.
