If your child is between the ages of 3 and 5 years old (must have been 3 by September 1st), and potty trained, your child would qualify for preschool!

About our preschool
Ages 3-5
Our DCFS licensed preschool program offers a balance of social and academic experiences for your little learner. Your child will be inspired daily by dedicated teachers who provide a nurturing environment. Each child will have the opportunity to meet new friends, build self-confidence, naturally explore, develop strong self-esteem and learn to cooperate with others. It is our goal that every child leaves having a positive learning experience here at Veterans Park District Preschool.
The preschool program follows the Creative Curriculum, endorsed by the National Association of Education of Young Learners. Teachers also follow the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, which are aligned with the Illinois Kindergarten Standards and Common Core State Standards to promote readiness for Kindergarten.
We accept Action for Children, a state funded program which provides tuition assistance for families who qualify.
Registration Requirements
Parents must complete a registration packet before a child is allowed to register. Packets are available at our Bulger Park, Grant Park, and George A. Leoni Complex facilities. You may also download our parent packet from the download section below.
The following checklist is due at registration:
- Completed Registration Packet
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Current Physical and Medical Requirements
- A picture ID and utility bill with name and current address
- Child must be 3 years old by Sept. 1st and potty trained
- Non-refundable $100 registration is required
2024-2025 Pricing
Please Note: Tuition is based on a full nine-month program but is broken into easy monthly payments. Classes will run based on minimum requirement.

All children are provided with a snack, included in tuition. Tuition due on the last service day of each month, one month in advance.

Veterans Park Preschool in Northlake offers half day classes.
Half day: 9 -12 Noon
Half day: 1-4 PM
2, 3, or 5 day options
Registration opens on April 8 for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Registration Tip
Registration can be taken over the phone, on our website, or in person during registration hours at any one of our facilities: George A. Leoni Complex, Grant Park, Cimbalo Fitness Center or Gouin Pool.
